Barbara Bonciani (Phd) is Adjunct Lecturer of Sociology at the University of Pisa and Research Associate at the CNR-IRCRES. She also works as researcher at the Port Network Authority of the North Tyrrhenian Sea, where she is the coordinator of the maritime/shipping/logistic studies. Currently Barbara is Councillor for port and port city integration at the Municipality of Livorno. Barbara is a member of the Scientific Committee of RETE (international association for the collaboration between port and city).She is also member of the Board of director of the Association. Barbara is graduated in Political Science cum laude and she has got a Phd in Sociology in 2005. She has been Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK) and Robert Schuman trainee at the European Parliament, DG Research. She collaborated as an expert with the European Commission and with the European Parliament – ACP Joint Assembly and the ASEAN 10th(Asia-Europe Summit).
